Wouter is Renee’s brother. These brother and sister hardly ever argue. That’s because they enjoy what they do so much. Wouter is, so to speak, the manager and record boss. He is good at organizing, coming up with things and recording music. Wouter has a beautiful studio where thousands of albums have been recorded. So many that he has lost count. My favorite character: JazzCat Louis, because he swings so much and we always leave the studio cheerfully!

That’s possible! With 10+ million streams per year, we are widely listened to via Spotify and other streaming platforms. Good for 162,000 cheerful listening hours for the smallest ears. You can also find us on YouTube, and on stages in Tivoli and Concertgebouw, among others, with sold-out halls. But we go even further!
Nowadays we travel all over the world, in 18 languages, good for 300+ million streams! With more than 75 professional musicians, writers, actors and makers, we have already created more than 5,000 music and story albums. Something to be proud of.
Mission & vision
Our mission is clear: to conquer all children’s hearts with the love of music. Because that makes all the difference for the smallest ears and hearts. So we take children’s music very seriously.
All our content is made with real makers and old school instruments. Always by professionals, in our own studios in the Netherlands. Because it deserves that love. Especially for children aged approximately 2-6 years (and their parents who are listening).
In 2028, Loulou & Lou will enchant young hearts worldwide with music, stories and visuals in 30 languages. The ultimate goal: inspire boundless creativity in children, reach the world and be the place for quality children’s content for generations. For almost 10 years, we have been building a world full of real music and stories for all children every day. The world of Loulou & Lou.
Social projects
We believe that every child should have access to that world of music. So every year we find a beautiful social music project. For example, we created the Lux & Louise music braille book, provided musical lighting in the Ronald McDonald house in Maastricht, with our own playlist that can now be found in every room, and we work together with the Samen Lachen Foundation to support children with a to invite poverty disadvantage into our theater shows. Hundreds so far! Nice work.

Sophie is the sweetest of the bunch. But she also has a super cool side! She plays bass guitar and has toured with many artists. She studied at the Rock Academy and has a very beautiful voice that you have probably heard before. She also has a child with Wouter, for whom she sings and makes songs a lot. He can talk now and soon he can sing along. My favorite character: Loustock, because I’m secretly a hippie.

Renee is a designer. She knows exactly which style goes with which character. She also works closely with the illustrator and ensures that all the puzzle pieces fit together beautifully. She completed the Art Academy in Maastricht. And did you know that Renee’s daughter is called Loulou? Strange how could that be… My favorite character: Guruwoof, because it calms me down!

Emerson is our illustrator. He brings all our characters to life. He is driven and enthusiastic… as you can see in the images he creates! If you look closely, he always adds little stories/details to the images that make them a little more recognizable. A pattern here, a crazy hairstyle there… And it all fits the character. And pssssst… He’s color blind! That’s why he has Renee, who helps him with this. Don’t tell anyone. And favorite album: Loulou & Lou Summer special, Emerson is not a dancer but his feet don’t stop on this music!
